Jijenge Jiboreshe Youth Initiative;

Jijenge Jiboreshe Youth Initiative Project is supported by the Australian Government as a Direct Aid Program (DAP). It focused on complementing the Australia’s broader aid program towards contributing to sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction. Additionally, Coast Women In Development is aiming at providing and strengthening 40 Reformed Youths from 4 groups composed of 10 members each.
Thiproject served as an avenue of poverty alleviation, protection of the environment, economic justice and gender equality that will have an enhanced outcomes on good relationship and collaboration between the community, police, the Reformed Youths, reduction in insecurity level as well as having empowered, skilled and educated reformed youths and community .

Maternal Child Health Project:

The general objective of the Project was to reduce maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality by increasing the community access to and uptake of quality Maternal and Child Health services in Mombasa - Machafukoni informal settlement. Specific Core Activities included;
1) Conduct community mobilization activities on best practices in maternal health
2) Train 90 Community Health Workers (CHWs) and 8 Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) in promoting Maternal Health.
3) Provide light rehabilitation to Mlaleo and Junda health Centres.
4) Provide key maternal health care equipment for the two health facilities.
5) Two tricycle ambulances, new health records information system hardware as well as drugs and medical supplies were also donated to health facilities as part of capacity enhancement.

Reducing Child & Maternal Mortality
CWID aims to reduce maternal and child mortality through increasing access to and uptake of quality health services for the population living in informal and rural areas

Access to Family Planning Services
CWID aim to build capacity of health facilities, increase religious leaders' knowledge of family planning, mobilize communities, improve family planning access and referrals for services, and advocate for improved family planning commodity security from the public sector

Access to Menstural Health Services

CWID works to enhance access to information on menstrual hygiene, and funding by government for sustainable sanitary kits distribution to vulnerable women and adolescent girls.

Inua Mama Initiative Project:

Inua Mama Initiative Project is a peace and security project with an objective of Countering Violence Extremism (CVE) within Changamwe, Nyali Likoni and Kisauni, Sub County, Mombasa County, The project Targets; 200 Vulnerable Women and Girls ; 4 Private Sector, 50 Government officials and 1,000 affected families (700 women and 300 men) The project aims at achieving three outcomes namely; Strengthened capacity of stakeholders to coordinate, prevent and respond to CVE; Enhanced capacity and confidence of affected families and Community members to coordinate with duty bearers on prevention and response to violent extremism; and Increased gender-responsiveness in CVE policies, frameworks, laws and Institutions for prevention & response to Extremism. The project has met some of the milestones set in the outcome journal with some key results that includes: a) Activation of the County Engagement Forum-this has been partially met with only one forum organized instead four since inception of the project; b) Development of Early Warning Early Response Draft framework.
